Roller Rink Open
Our Community Park Roller Rink is now open for spring hours. The rink will be open Monday - Friday, 3pm to dark and Saturday and Sunday; Noon - Dark. Please remember that open skate times are for residents ONLY and helmets must be worn at all times.
Arbor Restoration Plan for Garden City
The Arbor Restoration Plan for Garden City has been compiled a team of graduate students from Cornell University Department of Landscape Architecture with the approval of the Chairperson of the Urban Horticulture Institute at Cornell University, Department of Horticulture. Recommendations include tree selection guides as a basis to find the right tree species and cultivar for the right size planting spaces. Special patented structural soils will be included in all planting specifications when obtained from sole source distributors. Questions pertaining to this report can be directed to the Village Department of Recreation and Parks who oversees the village tree inventory and the overall tree planting and maintenance plan.

Spring Parent and Me Sports Squirts through US Sports Institute

Spring Sports Squirts Offerings
Our Recreation and Parks Department has worked with US Sports Institute to offer a set of favorite and new spring programs for ages 3 to 7. Each eight week session will introduce the sports chosen to the participants in a self structured, fun setting. Registration has started and classes will begin the week of April 21. Multi Sport Camp for ages 5 - 12 during Spring Break
We will offer US Sports Institute's Total Play Multi Sport Camps during the Spring Break. This camp will be held at St. Paul's April 14- 17 ( Monday - Thursday). Village Markers Section Introduced!
To call attention to the extensive history of Garden City, the Village has installed Historic Markers at various locations and is in the process of adding more. As part of the project, a Markers page has been established to provide more information on the subjects and links to other data sources. The markers will all be provided with QR (Quick Response) codes to allow those interested to access the Markers page directly by photographing the code with a Smartphone app. The Markers page can also be accessed now by visiting our Village Markers page.
